Artist Statement

For decades I have been navigating life and art intuitively, which has led me on excursions far and wide. Photography is a way that I can experience each new environment with intention, and connect more authentically with its unique vibrancy and magic.

These mirrored tree tessellations invite one to explore hidden mysteries in nature, personal projections, anthropomorphism, and sacred geometry, and garner contemplation beyond the first glance.

Viewers discover archetypes, icons, storied imagery, and fantastical creatures. Initial perceptions become reflections of one’s inner landscape, much like a Rorschach’s ink blot.

This series roots with my reverence for the almighty force of nature, and all of her mystery. I hope my works reveal my heartfelt gratitude for our beautiful, bountiful planet.

 My True Nature

Wide open,
Questing anew;
Turning, turning on
Eyes of wonder.

Arms unfolding,
Reaching, dancing
brave and unshadowed,
Beckoning the light.

Respite for winged wanderers
Hallowed hollows for the meek;
Gentle giants dreaming,
Breathing for the world.

Listening deeply,
Hearing my own roots.
In this realm of now,
I know my truth.
